One of the biggest misconceptions regarding insurance companies and collision repair is that many people believe that they must have their vehicle repaired by one of the insurance companies "Preferred" repair shops. THIS IS NOT AT ALL TRUE!! YOU have the right to have your vehicle repaired wherever you choose.
At Highland Body Shop, we only participate in such programs if they allow us to repair the vehicle in a manner that we believe to be correct. If an insurance company attempts to send you to another shop, it is probably because that shop has agreed to do the repair at a cheaper labor rate or has agreed to using non-OEM parts. Some insurance companies will not pay their "preferred" shops to perform all the procedures necessary to ensure a quality repair. It is very important that you, the consumer, know this. You pay your insurance company to take care of you in the case of an accident. By telling your insurance company that you want Highland Body Shop to repair your vehicle, you are guaranteeing yourself to be happy with your repairs. After all, that is why you pay your insurance premiums.
